L4 Firmware Validation Technician
Folsom, California
Pay: $35/hr W2

Job Description and Qualifications:

• Must have good Python skills. C is helpful.
• Able to run automation testing.
• Functional proficiency in assigned area.
• Create and edit test documentation.
• Independently able to diagnose a complex bug and report it with all required information.
• Diagnose and provide solutions for automation issues / problems.
• Functional proficiency in assigned kernel component area plus four others.
• Achieve functional proficiency using PMDump (lower level), ITP, MeDebug, and Meta systems. Training will be provided.
• Read board design schematics for configuring boards features.
• Work independently and demonstrate initiative to complete assigned tasks.
• Propose and implement efficiency improvements. For example: create Time-Saving Scripts/mechanisms for automation (using Python).
• Able to contact Firmware Developers directly to debug efficiently and overcome obstacles.
• Know the Product infrastructure enough to discuss issues with the Test and Firmware developers/engineers.
• Firmware knowledge.
• Validation Experience.
• Triage/debug.
• Schematics review.
• Technical lead.
• Nice to have: Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to team.
