HR/Payroll Specialist

Description:The HR Specialist will assist with the day-to-day activities and special data projects related to the US retirement (pension) plan. This role will also work closely with the Retirement Team to ensure that the retirement plan is compliant and administered consistently. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of retirement plan design, administration, and compliance. This individual will collaborate closely with other members of the Benefits team, along with members of Payroll, Legal, and HR Shared Services. Individual will also work closely with our third-party administrators and consultants. Responsibilities include: Working on special retirement projects such as a data clean-up project Researching and reconciling Collecting documentation, preparing, and fulfilling retirement calculation requests Analyzing retirement plan data from vendor and internal reporting team Reviewing completed retirement paperwork and interacting with current and former employees around the distribution process Assisting HR Shared Service members with answering employee questions Supporting annual audit and government compliance requirements (Forms 5500s, AFN distribution) Drafting communications, education, and retirement plan web content This person must be independent, detail-oriented, excels in a fast-paced working environment and an effective team playerSkills:Human resources, Benefits management, retirement benefits, 401k benefits, Payroll, Human resource management, Payroll processing, excel, workday, adp, pension systemsTop Skills Details:Human resources,Benefits management,retirement benefits,401k benefits,Payroll,Human resource management,Payroll processing,excelAdditional Skills & Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience Payroll and/or third party administration background Strong attention to details Strong analytic and risk analysis skills Must be proficient with Word, Excel, experience with ADP and Workday a plus Prefer advanced project management skills and/or presentation skills Must be results oriented, have a high degree of flexibility, and effectively deal with ambiguity Strong written, verbal, and problem solving skills Enjoy working with others in a team atmosphere Ability to function in fast-paced working environment Knowledge of retirement plans, ERISA law a plusExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
