About the Position:
We are seeking a part time, contract solar PV designer to work between 10-20 hours a week. Your role will be to produce photovoltaic project site plans, one/three line electrical drawings, elevations, and equipment details utilizing our PVCAD software. Drawings to include all views and dimensions necessary for permitting and installation. Candidate must have a solid understanding of solar PV design, relevant building codes and drafting techniques.
Our HQ is based in Oakland, CA however this is a remote position that can be done from anywhere in the Central or Mountain time zones.
Qualifications
Technical degree from four-year college or university
Experience designing solar PV projects and obtaining permits
Expert in using AutoCAD and relevant drafting techniques
Self-motivated, able to work independently without supervision
Detail oriented
Good communication skills, sense of humor a plus, comfortable in a customer facing role
Passionate about renewable energy technology and solutions to climate change
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This is a contract position and applicant will be expected to have their own workstation and office. PVComplete will provide any necessary software licenses.
