Experienced Environmental Drill Rig Operator - Direct Push & Hollow Stem Auger Based out of Signal Hill CA or Ontario CA office
$25 - $35/ hour DOE
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drill Rig Operator/ Water Well Driller to join our team. The Driller will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling equipment to construct high quality water wells, as well as supervise crews, have a high knowledge of water well construction, and work with clients to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Perform drilling operations with direct-push or hollow stem augers drill rigs
- Operate and maintain drilling equipment such as oil rigs and heavy machinery
- Conduct pre-operational checks and post-operational servicing to prevent wear and ensure continuous operation.
- Conduct drilling activities on construction sites
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during drilling operations
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Assist in the transportation of equipment using forklifts or commercial driving vehicles
- Provide on the job training and lead by example to guide future operators
- Operate and maintain drilling equipment to profitably and safely complete projects.
- Supervise and motivate crews
- Coordinate activities and communicate with office, owner & engineer
- Order required supplies and maintain inventories
- Generate detailed reports and data on activities, inspections, and maintenance in compliance with required regulatory standards.
- Administrate safety policies to assure safe work place
- Provide Excellent customer relations skills
- Consistent communication with office management
- Read/Interpret construction drawings and plans
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in oil and gas drilling is preferred
- Proficiency in horizontal drilling techniques
- Must have Valid CA Commercial License
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Pass background check
- Pass DOT & OSHA HAZWOPER medical physical
- Willing to work both private and prevailing wage projects
- Clean background to access military, refineries, ports is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment effectively
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment problems
- Familiarity with construction site protocols
- Must be willing to travel at least 75%, instant per diem will be given. Occasional overtime/ weekend hours
- Must have reliable transportation
- Position is offered out of Signal Hill CA or Ontario CA office
- Work will be at various drilling locations throughout California
- No Remote work
- Must be able to lift 75 to 100lbs and meet all physical requirements
- Must be dependable
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must have basic math skills
- 50 hours per week anticipated on average, 1.5x hourly rate for overtime
- Mechanical, fabrication, welding skills preferred

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
