Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate a commercial vehicle, transporting goods to customers across the region. The driver will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of products, as well as providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, a professional demeanor, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Occasionally load and unload goods from trailers, ensuring that all products are properly secured and protected from damage.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Drive to and from customer locations, navigating through various routes and road conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to company standards.
- Operate vehicle for local deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Perform moving tasks, including loading and unloading goods from trucks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, deliveries, and any issues encountered during the delivery process.
Skills:
- Experience with commercial driving.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate a van or courier vehicle for local deliveries.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with others.
- Proficiency in route driving and navigating through various road conditions.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
