The Site Merchandising Associate works within the site experience team in managing the web enabling, categorization & sort order of our ecommerce product catalog. The Site Merchandising Associate will review merchandise presentation on site to ensure categorization, imagery, & copy are accurate. They will also ensure all content and marketing efforts linking to the homepage and landing pages provide a seamless customer shopping experience and drive conversion. They will coordinate all daily activities and processes necessary to maintain and enhance the online catalog, site taxonomy, category pages and product detail pages to drive product conversion. This person is a hard-working self-starter who works well with cross functional teams.
Categorize all products to align with site navigation and enhance product findability. Determine if any category or navigation updates will be necessary to support new merchandise, SEO, or marketing initiatives
Attribute products with appropriate descriptive and trending details to help the customer get down the shopping path funnel easier with guided navigation on PLPs (ex. Off the Shoulder, Floral, Oversized, etc.)
Control sort order on each PLP to automatically display highest converting order per category level and continue to test new sorts
Coordinate merchandise to visually showcase trends by selecting product to create a cohesive story in trend pages for website content and emails
Analyze weekly sales reports and summarize Best Sellers, Fast Turning products, & Site Updates for the Site Merchandising Recap
Work with content & email coordinators to provide linking strategy for site content and emails
Complete competitor research on products, navigation & categories to ensure our site is relevant
Ensure that site experience is connected to marketing, promotional & buying actions by boosting products with featured promos or trends
Work with the photo, creative, & social team by providing flow dates & links for available products in image selects for social and creative teams
Communicate Best Sellers, New Arrivals, etc. to email designer to showcase our best merchandise
Create and maintain a standard operating procedure document for Site Merchandising
Monitor & audit the live site daily to check for category navigation issues, opportunities and product information accuracy
Support the Site Merchandising Manager in all site merchandising functions
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Business or related field
1-2 years’ ecommerce or product experience
Strong knowledge in retail management systems
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
