White Elephant is a modern Thai restaurant located within the Spring Arcade Building. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie/Station Chefs (Wok) who is willing to take on new challenges and grow rapidly with the team!
Candidates should have some professional cooking experience (preferably Asian/wok based), are detail oriented, able to work with a sense of urgency, and carry a tendency to go above and beyond. We are looking for those who are not only passionate about creating exceptional Thai inspired dishes, but thrive in a team focused environment. Individuals who has a knack for and cares about providing genuine and warm hospitality with an outgoing and positive attitude in a multilingual culture.
Responsibilities:
Daily operations of the kitchen. Ensures that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the restaurant's specifications and commitment to quality. Maintains a safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen. Exercise proper food handling techniques.
Qualification:
3+ years experience in food and beverage industry
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Plating skills for refining dishes
Energetic and friendly personality; Team player
Knowledge of food handling and safety standards
Strong multi-task ability
Strong work ethic, motivated, and self-sufficient
Able to work under pressure
Have a willingness to learn
Must have legitimate visa to work
