Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and organized individual to join our team as a Clothing Manufacturing Production Assistant. We need a Production Assistant who can effectively organize production processes between manufacturers and ensure seamless material procurement, leveraging their local knowledge and industry expertise.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate production schedules between manufacturers and internal teams, leveraging local connections, to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of orders.

Manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors in the Los Angeles area to procure necessary materials, including fabrics, trims, and accessories.

Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to optimize production costs and maintain inventory levels, emphasizing sustainability where possible.

Collaborate closely with designers, pattern makers, and sample makers to ensure accurate and timely development of prototypes and samples.

Monitor production processes closely, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may arise, while maintaining open communication with all stakeholders.

Oversee quality control procedures and standards to uphold the integrity and craftsmanship of our products, ensuring adherence to sustainability principles.

Assist in troubleshooting production-related problems and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

Manage documentation and records related to production schedules, material orders, and supplier contracts with meticulous attention to detail.

Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to clothing manufacturing and supply chain management, integrating sustainable initiatives wherever possible.

Support the development and implementation of strategies to optimize production workflows and minimize waste, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, fashion merchandising, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in clothing manufacturing or production coordination, with a focus on organizing production processes and sourcing materials.

Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, with an emphasis on sustainability.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software for production planning and documentation.

Knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and manufacturing techniques is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
