Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier. As the first point of contact for our customers, the Cashier plays a crucial role in providing a positive and efficient shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
Responsibilities:
1.Greet and assist customers: Welcome customers as they enter the store, answer inquiries, and provide guidance on products and services offered.
2.Process transactions: Efficiently and accurately handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
3.Maintain cash drawer: Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and adherence to cash handling procedures.
4.Handle returns and exchanges: Process returns and exchanges according to store policies, resolving customer issues promptly and courteously.
5.Provide product knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our product inventory to effectively assist customers in finding the right products for their landscaping needs.
6.Assist with store operations: Support store staff with tasks such as restocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the cashier area.
7.Upsell and cross-sell: Identify opportunities to promote additional products or services to customers to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
Familiarity with landscaping products and terminology is a plus.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
