Company looking to hire directly for HVAC Service and Installers in the Glendale/LA area. The client is a dynamic, family-owned HVAC company with $25M in annual revenue and a growing team of 100 employees. Commercial and Residential services. The client caters to the LA County area with air cooling and air heating systems, as well as their maintenance, repair, cleaning, consulting services, and a full line of commercial services.
You will be primarily responsible for performing repairs, maintenance and installation to a variety of equipment including: air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, ductless systems, hermetic compressors, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers and more!
A Successful Technician will have
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills; Good customer relations and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use required technology for the position (training provided)
- Ability to stay on task with minimal to no supervision
Responsibilities Include:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems
- Performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out of season equipment
- Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance
- Responding to service calls in a timely manner
Minimum Job Requirements:
- One+ year of experience with HVAC systems
- Valid Driver's License & clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check & drug screen
- Ability to lift and maintain holding up to 50 lbs
- Ability to safely climb and balance on a ladder
- Ability to work in elevated/high locations (i.e. on roofs)
- Verifiable references & work history
- Knowledge of parts and tools necessary for each workday’s assigned activities
- Possession of hand tools required for the job (list available upon request), other tools necessary are supplied
- Need to speak, read and write in English
We are seeking candidates for the following:
Commercial/Residential Foreman (Min 3 years exp):
- Need to speak, read and write in English
- Min. 3 years of experience in residential installation required
- Installation of Lennox split systems
- Installation of roof top package units
- Installation of ductless split systems
- Basic thermostat wiring, programing and start up
- Copper welding and flare nut skill
- To be able to flush copper lines, vacuum and add refrigerant
- Ductwork including flexible, sheet metal and spiral
- Drain piping, gas piping and Flue vents including sheet metal double wall and PVC
- To be able to communicate with the sales man, home owner and warehouse
Commercial/Residential Helper (Min. 1 year exp):
- Need to speak, read and write in English
- At least 1 year of experience in residential installation
- Installation of flexible ductwork, T-Ys, dampers, boot boxes
- To be able to communicate with foreman and follow instructions
