Pure Watercraft is launching a revolutionary all-electric outboard motor that will deliver an unparalleled experience on the water for the customer, protect the environment for future generations, and disrupt the boating industry. Â
The Role

If the answer to the above questions are yes, you may be a great fit to join our team as our first Field Technician in Southern California.
The position will require a road warrior who has deep experience hauling a boat trailer and is comfortable driving significant distances to ensure our system is safely delivered to the demo or installation location on time. ÂThe perfect candidate is mechanically inclined and curious to learn new technology as you will become an expert on the set up, operation, demo, and installation of our system. Your schedule will be highly dynamic and you will need to have the flexibility to respond quickly to a opportunity outside of a 9-5 schedule. The work will be physically demanding.

Pure Watercraft is a startup company based on the water in Seattle dedicated to revolutionize boating by building an innovative electric propulsion system that is clean and quiet without compromising power or range.Â
Responsibilities:
Driving and delivering our system to a demo or customer installation site, potentially during a multi-location, multi-week trip Â
Manage all aspects of successful live demonstrations for potential customers and investors - including setting up the system as well as launching and operating the boat
Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections
Carry out Pure Watercraft system installations
Educate new customers on operation
Prototype and document best-practice field processes for demo and installation
Maintain records of time, expenses and materials
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
Support sales events (ex. tradeshows and industry conferences)
Be a team player, cross collaboration with marketing, customer service, and sales

Requirements:
A valid Driver's License, experience with driving and unloading/loading a boat trailer is required (long haul driving is optimal)
Experience piloting boats, docking, rigging and derigging
A passion for boating and being on the water
Washington state boaters education license
Ability to do heavy lifting while standing, bending, and crouching throughout the work day
Flexible work schedule and comfort in working odd hours and travel with little notice
A customer first mentality and a comfort in building relationships
Technical and mechanical knowledge of common hand tools
An understanding or willingness to learn outboard installation and maintenance
Ability to solve problems creatively and stay calm under pressure Â
Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and time management skills
Comfort in working with and communicating as a part of an cross functional internal team
