Joyce Wine Co. is a boutique winery that crafts Monterey County wines and offers a unique, customer-centric, friendly tasting experience in our Carmel Valley tasting room. We are seeking to fill a part time (Saturday only) at our tasting room.
Our philosophy is to provide an inviting and knowledgeable tasting that compliments the wine and creates a truly enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities include: Greeting customers promptly and courteously; guiding customers to wines they enjoy; setting up and cleaning up daily operations and special events; stocking wine and retail merchandise in the tasting room; accurately performing daily wine inventory and money handling procedures.
Candidates should have:
1) Availability on Sundays, holidays and events
2) Ability to work independently and multi-task in a busy (yet fun!) environment
3) Self-motivated, trustworthy and willingness to jump in and help.
4) Team player with a positive attitude.
5) Exceptional customer service, basic wine knowledge and passion for the industry, positive attitude and interpersonal skills
6) Passion for great wine and food
7) Pleasant and professional demeanor
8) The ability to communicate to small and large groups
9) An enthusiasm to share wine knowledge with others
10) The ability to navigate POS and wine club software
Candidates should be:
1) 21 years of age or older
2) Able to stand for 6 hours at a time
3) Able to lift 30 lbs.
