Pro-Level WordPress Developer
Moxxy is a well-regarded full-service marketing agency with a diverse national client base seeking an experienced, pro-level WordPress web developer/programmer to add to our in-house team. Moxxy has offices in Salinas, CA (headquarters) and Atlanta, GA (satellite).
The job is a staff position (not freelance and not outsourced to a 3rd party, as we have those needs well covered). However, working remotely is a possibility for the right candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
- websites (including mobile, ecommerce, intranet, blogs)
- animation/video integration
- SEO projects
- email (primarily MailChimp, Constant Contact, Active Campaign and iContact)
- online ads
- social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS:
- WordPress Pro-level developer with solid PHP experience (8+ years)
- Must be able to program custom themes and not reach for a plugin to solve every problem
- Ability to write code according to industry best practices and conventions (clean, organized code)
- Strong portfolio of current work that meets the highest quality, functionality, SEO, responsive design, security, ADA compliant and aesthetic standards (min of 4-5 years' experience)
- Expert in Creative Suite, WordPress, and other common programming platforms
- Solid working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ASP, MySQL
- Understand and develop sites to be WCAG 2.1 compliant
- Ability to fully develop sites in-house, and work with our freelance developers to manage their production and complete their sites
- Reliable, can meet deadlines and deliver work as in a timely fashion and on budget
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- Proactive problem-solver who is able to overcome challenges with innovative, creative ideas
- Flexible and able to accommodate quick turnaround needs and tight deadlines from time to time
- Able to work overtime if needed
- If you are called in for an interview, be prepared to walk us through the current front- and backend of a recent Wordpress site you've developed. We'd like to see your codebase, plugin choices and overall development strategy.
