Join our team at Dr. Turek's Wellness Center! We look forward to welcoming the ideal candidate to our team! We are looking to hire a part-time, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Chiropractic Medical Billing and Insurance Collections Specialist. Our ideal candidate will understand medical billing procedures and insurance claims and have excellent customer service skills.
This candidate will have proven experience in medical billing and a solid attention to detail. They are skilled in multitasking and logical thinking and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure our patients are treated with the highest level of care. This position will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient billing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process and submit insurance claims
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits and initiate pre-authorization
- Review medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing practices
- Follow up on unpaid claims and manage denials by conducting investigations and filing appeals
- Maintain strict confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines
- Resolve patient inquiries and complaints related to billing
- Document billing procedures and maintain patient billing records
- Generate and review financial and billing reports
- Provide training and guidance to other billing staff as required
- Stay updated with the latest insurance and healthcare regulations
Requirements:
- Experience and comfort with medical billing from start to finish
- Experience with insurance verifications
- Comfortable with meeting targets/goals, multitasking, and producing quality work on time
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
