Heirloom Craft Kitchen in Indio is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run the daily operations of our very busy, farm-to-table cafe, working in tandem with our General Manager and Chef as part of our leadership team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and outgoing person who will be the front facing team member of our amazing kitchen & front of house team. This position offers flexible hours, competitive base pay plus great tips, and the ability to be part of a local family business that values it's employees highly. Restaurant experience in a supervisory role is preferred, however we are willing to train the right candidate with retail experience in a supervisory role. You must be 21 years of age to apply, have an open and flexible availability that includes some days, evenings and weekends. Ability to multi-task and work well in busy, fast paced environments a must.
Duties
- Cashiering, expediting and food running during the hours of operation as needed
- Assist in employee orientation, training, and supervision
- Oversee retail sales activities and ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks
- Cash handling and management , reconciliation, closing and opening duties
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with the general manager to implement strategies for business growth
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurants, retail management or a related field
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus
- Proven track record in supervising teams and driving sales
- Proficiency in customer service practices
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or retail experience in a supervisory role
- Must have an open availability to in include both day and evening shifts, weekends
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, work well under pressure
-Reliable access to transportation, cell phone
- Must be 21 years of age or older ( you will pour alcohol drinks )
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour plus tips
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
