Located in Southern California's Coachella Valley, Jensen's Finest Foods is an upscale supermarket where Quality, Service and Selection have been traditions since 1940. We are looking for an applicant with previous cake decorating experience and a passion for creativity. Fresh baked items are prepared on site in our bakery production plant then forwarded to the bakery sales department and cake decorators for processing, decorating, packaging and display for retail sales. The position consists of decorating various baked items for display cases and customer special orders including cakes, pies, cupcakes, decorated cookies and novelty items. The applicant must be able to accurately fill special orders, work in an environment that is fast paced and be able to multi-task. Must be able to establish priorities, follow safe food-handling procedures and be well organized.
Pay starts at $12.50 per hour depending upon experience. Pay rate may be negotiated during employment interview for those applicants with more experience.
Must have open availability for working hours, including very early mornings, weekends and most holidays.

Must have previous cake decorating experience. All applicants will be required to decorate at least two baked good items during the interview process to demonstrate cake decorating knowledge and skill.
Must be familiar with cake decorating terms and process.
Must be able to interact and work well with coworkers, the public and have exceptional customer service skills.
Must be able to operate department equipment such as knives, wrapping stations and commercial mixers to prepare various icings and fillings. Occasional cash register use may be required.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move with or without accommodation up to 30 pounds.
Repetitive bending, reaching and grasping required.
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
Vision abilities to perform this job include close vision.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must enjoy working with food and follow safe food-handling procedures.
Must obtain a Riverside County Food Worker Card upon hiring.
Must be able to provide a negative pre-employment drug test result which includes screening for marijuana.
