Cabinet Installer Assistant
We are seeking a cabinet installer assistant, who has their own transportation and tools are highly recommended. This job entails assembling cabinets, drilling holes, labeling, organizing, taking measurements, installing custom millwork, running trim, custom wall panels, and other duties as needed. Candidates need to be high performers who are team oriented and focused on customer satisfaction. Candidates must also be trustworthy and reliable as you will mostly be working in customers homes. There is room for growth within the company and training will be provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read architectural plans and AutoCAD shop drawings.
Take accurate measurements.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Must be safety conscious.
Dependable and punctual is a must.
Physically able to lift 50+ lbs.
Properly identify missing or incorrect parts and make a parts list.
Keep jobsite clean.
Problem solving skills.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to multitask and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The individual should be able to stay on task with many distractions. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma (or GED) with 3 or more years of construction experience and 3 or more years of customer service experience.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Precise measuring skills.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate professionally and politely with customers.
Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
Safe working habits and strong work ethic.
Construction experience a plus but not required.
Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality.
Self-motivated and internally driven to excel in your position and career.
Experience with typical tools (table saw, router, lasers, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
Able to lift and bend to pick up items.
Experience with power tools.
Ability to stand on your feet all day.
