Job Description:
As a Tax Preparer at The Tax Place, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will work closely with clients to gather and analyze financial information, ensure compliance with tax laws, and provide strategic advice to minimize tax liabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file accurate federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Gather and analyze clients' financial information, including income, deductions, and credits.
- Review and verify tax documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice.
- Communicate with clients to address questions, provide explanations, and resolve issues.
- Assist with tax planning and strategy to optimize clients' financial positions.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of clients' financial information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, Enrolled Agent) are a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
