We are seeking experienced and professional servers to join our team at our upscale restaurant. The ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong knowledge of upscale dining etiquette. As a server, you will provide attentive and personalized service to our guests, ensuring they have a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Greet and Seat Guests:
Welcome guests to the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special items. Provide recommendations and answer any questions guests may have about the menu.
Take Orders: Accurately record guests' orders, including any special requests or dietary restrictions, and enter them into the point-of-sale system promptly.
Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver orders to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation and quality meet the restaurant's standards. Offer assistance with beverage selections and ensure glasses are refilled promptly.
Check back with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and promptly resolve any issues that arise.
Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining experience, promote specials, add-ons, and premium menu items to increase sales.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders, and relay any special requests or modifications from guests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables, polishing silverware, and ensuring a neat appearance of the dining room.
Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and handle cash and credit card transactions securely.
Collaborate with other team members, including hosts/hostesses, bartenders, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Good understanding of food and wine pairing is a plus.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a server in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.
Strong knowledge of upscale dining etiquette, including wine service and tableside presentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and basic math skills for handling transactions (Toast POS).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food or drinks as needed.
