We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pressman to join our team, responsible for operating and maintaining our Heidelberg 28" press. The successful candidate will have a strong background in printing, excellent mechanical skills, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate the Heidelberg 28" press, including setup, makeready, and production of high-quality prints.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the press is running smoothly and efficiently.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure prints meet customer standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues as they arise.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of production and maintenance activities.
Participate in training and development activities to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience operating a similar size press (Heidelberg 28" or equivalent).
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in printing or related field
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights (up to 10 feet).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Heidelberg presses and/or other similar make and model presses.
Knowledge of printing processes, including offset, flexographic, and digital printing.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards.
