Title: Third Grade Teacher
As Nazareth School – San Diego’s Third Grade Teacher, you will create an engaging, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and spiritual growth. This role involves implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with California State Standards and diocese Religion Standards, nurturing a love for learning while integrating Catholic values.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with California State and Diocese Religion Standards.
Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports student growth academically, socially, and emotionally.
Tailor instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs, integrating hands-on activities and educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, IXL Learning).
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents through reports and conferences.
Apply effective classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and maintain productivity.
Establish routines that encourage student independence, accountability, and responsibility.
Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and other essential data.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Teaching Credential, Multisubject credential preferred, single subject credential required
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Two (2) or more years of experience in elementary education
Willingness to learn designing and implementing lesson plans that meet California State Standards and Diocese of San Diego Religion Standards with the assistance of a mentor
Skilled in fostering a positive classroom environment and applying effective classroom management techniques.
Expertise in adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs, promoting academic and social growth.
Proficient in collecting, analyzing, and using student data to guide instructional decisions.
Competent in using educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, IXL Learning, Accelerated Learning, Wonders ELA, and Sadler Vocabulary) to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrated skills in confidentiality, time management, positive reinforcement, and responsiveness in communication.

Compensation:
Salary range between $47,000 - $52,000
Compensation will be determined by a number of factors including educational background and experience.
