Land Surveying Technician
Position:
Architectural, Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm seeking qualified applicants to fill a Part to Full Time Land Surveying Technician/Drafting position. Applicant will assist in field work on a survey crew and use AutoCAD Civil3D for the preparation of Topographic Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and Mapping Projects. Applicant will also perform calculations for use by our field surveyors for construction staking and boundary surveying.
Along with the above technical duties, the applicant will conduct research with various agencies to ascertain information on current and proposed projects including, but not limited to: available construction drawings and utility plans, survey data and property records, submittal requirements, design standards, local regulations, etc. Applicant may also be asked to process plan submittals with various agencies for approval.
It would also be beneficial if the applicant is able to demonstrate experience in Civil Design and the preparation of Grading Plans and Improvement Plans.
Qualifications:
Applicant must possess Land Surveying experience and will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to use Civil 3D in order to prepare the above referenced items. Applicant should have experience conducting research with various government agencies and processing plans for approval.
Preferred candidate would possess a Land Surveyor in Training (L.S.I.T.) certification. However, this requirement is not mandatory.
