A well-established lumber company in San Diego is seeking a front desk Cashier/Receptionist with multi-tasking skills. Qualified candidates will be capable of answering inquiries and providing information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties regarding activities conducted at the organization, while processing cash, credit/debit transactions and validating checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate telephone to answer or forward calls, providing information or taking messages
Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct them to specific destinations
File and maintain records
Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, debit cards, or vouchers
Balances daily paperwork and invoices, handling and fixing discrepancies
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must be able to commit to a full-time schedule
Working knowledge of computers and office practices and procedures
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines and follow through
PREFERENCES
Customer and Personal Service- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer service
Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of their position without excessive absences
Bilingual a plus!
