Trust Automation, a growing company in San Luis Obispo which designs, builds and supports control and power management systems for the most demanding defense, semiconductor, industrial automation, green technology and medical applications is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join our team in San Luis Obispo, CA. We are looking for skilled assemblers who can follow work instructions to build a technical product. The Manufacturing Assembly Technician will be detail oriented, energetic, motivated by team success while exceeding quality expectations and performing work safely.

What You Will Do:

What You Need For This Position:

High School Diploma or GED or strong skils which are directly transferable to manufacturing.

Proven record of success in hands-on assembly in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent technical aptitude, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and deal effectively with people at all levels.

Intermediate use of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to quickly adapt and learn new procedures, techniques and processes.

The ability to read and understand manufacturing work instructions.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Class Characteristics:

Manufacturing Assembly Technician 1 is the entry-level into the manufacturing assembly technician career series. Initially, under close supervision, technicians with basic assembly skills and experience learn Trust Automation's practices and procedures. As experience is gained, assignments become more varied and are performed with greater independence.

Manufacturing Assembly Technician 2 is the mid-range of the manufacturing assembly technician career series. Manufacturing Assembly Technician 2's have demonstrated they have gained the knowledge, skill and experience to work under limited supervision.

Manufacturing Assembly Technician 3 is the most experienced level in the manufacturing assembly technician career series. Manufacturing Assembly Technician 3's are self-directed and operate with a high level of independence and decision making.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to regularly lift up to 30 pounds unassisted for duties such as unpacking and lifting of event materials.

This position will require frequent setup and take-down of chairs, portable tables, etc.
