You will be a member of an interdisciplinary team including: mechanical engineering, signal integrity, layout, and compliance. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with peers in product management, software, and operations.Your ImpactLead a team of Mechanical Engineers, PCB Layout Designers and Compliance Test Engineers to deliver best-in-class network firewall products to market.
High focus on overall design, manufacturability, serviceability and usability for Next Gen PAN Products
Manage Mechanical, PCB Layout and Compliance teams
Collaborate in a hardware organization with board design engineers to meet critical space, thermal, cost, and usability requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally and maintain productive relationships with engineering, product management, manufacturing engineering, materials and planning teams
Promote a healthy working environment with strong focus on individual career development.
Develop and maintain new design processes to ensure product design quality in fast pace working environment
Support both enclosure and packaging commodity teams to ensure mechanical engineering team early engagement
Your Experience
10+ years in New Product Introduction (NPI) hardware development (networking products a plus)
10+ years in NPI engineering management
Experience working with component vendors and contract manufacturers
Experience in design and procurement of various physical media including: sheet metal, plastics, machined parts, 3D printing, die-cast, and extrusions
Experience in budgeting, resourcing and scheduling requirements for new programs
Excellent understanding of product design development and testing processes
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Cost for both low to high volume products
Excellent leadership skills in team development and retaining top talent
Experience in EMC, Safety, NEBS design and test requirements
Experience in working with ODM or JDM with both domestic and/or offshore partners
Bachelors or master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
