Established Bay Area Trucking Company seeking a Controller / Payroll Manager based out of our Benicia office.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage all aspects of the day-to-day accounting processes including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Design and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, and the design and implementation of cost-saving solutions.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development of financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.

Desired Experience:
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management.
- Proficiency in using CRM/Accounting Software like Salesforce and QuickBooks.
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, analysis, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- CPA or relevant certification (not required, but a plus).
