Boho Petite is a small, locally owned business specializing in making French style cakes, pastries, tarts, offering quality espresso drinks and light breakfast/ lunch menu.
We take pride in our baked creations and are looking for the enthusiastic, kind, reliable and punctual people to continue maintaining “French café” ambience. As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, responsible for creating a positive experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and cultivate a warm and inviting atmosphere to continue building loyalty among both regular patrons and new visitors. Customer service is big for us!
- Learn the menu and items ingredients to be able to answer customers’ questions and make sincere recommendations
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using Square POS system
- Perform the Art of Service and Selling by preparing coffee drinks and serving pastries, cakes, sandwiches, salads, mostly “to go”, always with a smile and according to Boho Petite standards
- Stay in close contact with the owner and bakery staff regarding inventory needs, customer feedback, custom orders, vendor events, etc.
- Maintain the barista station, display cases and espresso machine, paying close attention to detail and health code standards
- Keep the café and parklet organized and clean throughout the day; communicate with Janitor/ Maintenance person about any issues in this respect
- Ensure that inventory is properly and timely replenished to maintain an easy customer flow (i.e, milk sugar, cups, napkins, packaging, etc).
- Display a positive demeanor and ensure friendly, positive, professional relationships with coworkers
