Position: Evening Server/Bartender
Hours: 4 PM - 10 PM (Extended hours till 12 AM on Thu, Fri, & Sat)
La Marcha Tapas Bar, a renowned Spanish tapas bar located in the heart of Berkeley, invites applications for the position of Evening Server/Bartender. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with the rich traditions of Spanish cuisine and culture, in an environment that prizes exceptional service and culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding service to guests, ensuring their dining experience at La Marcha exceeds expectations.
- Prepare and serve beverages, with an upcoming opportunity to participate in our new cocktail program.
- Educate guests about our menu items, including detailed knowledge of Spanish wines and cuisine.
- Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
Requirements:
- Must have evening availability, particularly with the flexibility to work extended hours until 12 AM on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
- Previous bartending or serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- A strong interest in, or knowledge of, Spanish cuisine and wine is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
