Position Overview:
As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the culinary team, responsible for executing dishes with precision and consistency. From preparing ingredients to plating dishes, you will work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to deliver high-quality cuisine that delights our guests. Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and measuring ingredients.
- Cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and adherence to presentation guidelines.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with the development of new menu items and specials as directed by the Head Chef.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient operations and timely service.
- Follow proper cooking techniques and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institute is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to speak and read english.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
