We are looking for a weekend caregiver for a very bright autistic boy who has minimal speech but communicates through typing. Position is a 1:1 aide responsible for supervising and supporting activities of daily living (ADL), including but not limited to - eating, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and safety. This position will be responsible for providing quality care with respect for the child’s human dignity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists child with activities of daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, personal hygiene
Encourages the child to do his own activities of daily living (ADLs) when he is able.
Drive the child to the park, grocery etc. and maintain safety while in community settings.
Ensures the child’s safety while playing in the yard, swimming, or going for a walk.
Assists child at mealtime, which may include encouraging the child to eat on his own.
Respond appropriately to verbal and nonverbal expressions of needs.
Document accurately on ADL sheet, the care provided to the child.
Communicates with the child to understand feelings, need for assistance or social and emotional support.
Report observations of child's behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to parent.
Maintain neatness of child’s room
QUALIFICATIONS
Polite, punctual, and diligent
Prior caregiving experience (Required)
CNA (Strong plus)
High school or equivalent (Required);
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (Required)
Covid Vaccination Documentation (Required)
Able to pass a background check(Required)
Excellent communication skills(Required)
Authorized to work in the US (Required)

PAY & SCHEDULE
Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 9 pm
$35/hour
Annual retention bonus
