Overview: Medical Scheduler
This position is 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
You must have either a HS diploma or a GED.
You must be able to pass both a background check and a drug screen.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office management and be proficient in medical scheduling and patient service.
Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure proper scheduling of procedures and consultations
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for appointments
- Maintain and update medical records and health information management systems
- Handle medical collections and billing inquiries
- Utilize dental terminology in a dental clinic setting
- Provide exceptional patient service throughout the scheduling process
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of dental terminology and medical office procedures
- Experience with insurance verification processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
