Dynamic and well-established 25-person Plaintiffs-side litigation firm looking for a full-time intake receptionist to work in our busy San Francisco office. Our law firm represents tenants throughout California with a focus on the Bay Area. Our goal is to achieve justice for tenants who have faced harassment, discrimination, horrible housing conditions, or wrongful eviction. You can learn more about us here:https://www.tobenerlaw.com/
Our intake receptionists are an integral part of the firm. They are the first person a tenant in need speaks with when calling our office for help. Responsibilities primarily consist of conducting new client phone interviews by gathering initial information from each caller to help establish whether a tenant has a valid legal claim and to determine how our firm can help the caller. Additionally, our intake receptionists track cases and communicate with potential clients to gather documents or information needed by the attorneys to evaluate a case. They also route other calls, manage calendars, schedule meetings, draft correspondence, process mail, order supplies, do general office upkeep, filing, party planning, and errands, and perform other executive-assistant type tasks.
No prior legal experience or executive assistant experience required. We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, compassionate person with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team of tenant advocates. Prior work at a call center, as a receptionist, or as a customer-facing person in the restaurant service industry is a plus. Fluency in Spanish is also a plus.
We believe in social justice for our clients, employee activism, and a healthy work-life balance. We offer a friendly and collaborative working environment, competitive salary, and generous benefits. This position is in-person in our San Francisco office. We are open to Full-Time or Part-Time with at least 20 hours per week.
Please submit a cover letter (as a PDF attachment or in the body of your email) and a PDF resume. Applications without a cover letter/email and a PDF resume will not be considered.
