Rubrik, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA has multiple openings for the role of Software Engineer - Support.
Responsibilities: Design, build, review, and implement software solutions to optimize and scale the Rubrik platform. Duties include: developing software systems using innovative computer science and software engineering principles; analyzing and optimizing expansive SQL queries; testing and analysis of existing technology, including performance analysis, and troubleshooting customer issues in various component areas; providing root cause analysis to customers and troubleshooting network equipment and performing resolution implementation; determining design solutions to problematic programming; building and integrating new features and updates to ensure optimal performance and continued scalability as the company grows; troubleshooting high speed storage, network stability, and hardware performance; maintain and innovate microservices infrastructure with general knowledge of different Cloud providers and platforms; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Rubrik headquarters in Palo Alto, CA.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related. Other special requirements include: 2 years of experience working with: Java, Scala, C, or similar Object-Oriented languages; 2 years of experience conducting root cause analysis on hardware failures; 2 years of experience working with client/server architectures and application architectures; 2 years of experience working with large codebases on cross-functional teams; 2 years of experience working with public Cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP; and 2 years of experience working with Kubernetes platform.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field, employer will accept candidates with no degree and at least 4 years of experience in the job offered or related, including 2 years of experience with each of the required skills. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Rate of Pay: $173k - $198k
