Perry's Parcel & Gift has permanent full positions (30-40 hours/week) available in our Atascadero and Morro Bay Stores. This position is very active, multi-tasking, and customer service-driven. We are looking for serious applicants and are willing to pay a $250.00 signing bonus for those hired.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to work at either location as scheduled and therefore will need reliable transportation. We are open on Saturdays and as such, you must be open to having a schedule that will include a minimum of two Saturdays per month. Must be able to become a Notary and Certified Live Scan Operator (Perry's pays for education and associated expenses). Will be involved in all front-end operations, including packing, shipping, copying, printing, scanning, mailbox services, and much more, in addition to being able to assist all customers with gift purchases.
SKILL/REQUIREMENTS: Accurate typing (by touch, min 35 wpm), good computer, math, and people skills, office equipment knowledge to include copying, faxing, scanning; automated point-of-sale and Microsoft Office experience and excellent customer service and sales experience required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. We are willing to train on the specifics of the job, but retail packing/shipping and notary experience is a big plus.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: Must be self-motivated, detail and goal-oriented, able to multi-task and function in a deadline-driven team environment. Please be kind, honest, and responsible. You should desire stable, long-term employment. Must be flexible for various shifts scheduled between the hours of 8:30am-6:00pm (M-F) and 9:30am-5:00pm (Sat). There is some flexibility to arrange hours around special needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift a min. of 45 lbs. and be able to stand and bend for extended periods of time.
