The Steward assists the food & beverage team in providing Four Diamond standards of service while practicing Allegretto Vineyard Resort policies and procedures to cleanliness and sanitation, consistent quality standards. Maintains a clean, organized and safe workstation.

Essential:

1) Minimum 6 months experience or equivalent.

2) Must have Food Handler’s Certification

Education

There are no specific academic requirements to be a Dishwasher/Steward. Applicants need to have some suitable skills required for this business such as customer service knowledge, good communication skills, and basic knowledge about government regulations of health and food service. Requires previous experience in a similar position, including food preparation and kitchen maintenance among the most demanded requirements.

Desirable:

1) Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.

2) Spanish speaking

3) Previous experience in resort or at an upscale restaurant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1) Transferring equipment from storage areas to work stations.

2) Cleaning of kitchen equipment, restaurant floors, walls and windows.

3) Offering help to prep and cooking staff.

4) Maintaining stock supply of food.

5) Operating dishwasher machines

6) Polishing, storing of all China, glassware, silverware & serving equipment

7) Safely and properly clean and use equipment.

8) Dispensing of Trash and waste;

9) Replenishing of Fire wood for wood burning equipment

10) Must maintain a sense of urgency work under pressure to meet deadlines.

11) Ensure quality control and standard of excellence and professionalism on the line.

12) Adhere to state, local, Food Safety, MSDS, OSHA and Health Department regulations.

13) Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area.

14) Assist in receiving items and taking inventory

15) Teach new dishwasher/stewards

16) Maintain cleaning of the kitchen and dish area.

17) Follow-up with Sous Chefs regarding cleaning projects
