Route/Activity -Drivers are responsible for delivering grocery products to Trader Joes stores in the Greater Bay, Sacramento areas, and occasional deliveries to Reno, NV.. Drivers will average 1 to 2 stops per shift with an average of about 200-mile radius. Drivers need to be flexible with weekend as a must. Shift time start time between 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and routes are 8-11 hour/day, depending on the day. Driver unloads with manual pallet jack, pallet is taken to the edge of trailer, and then store receiver forklifts the pallet off the trailer.Shift -Must be able to work weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, working 30 hours or less each week.Anything over 8 hours in one day is considered overtime.Driver may be asked to work additional shifts and will be "on call" for extra support as needed. Must have open availability.Equipment - 48' & 53' Dry Van TrailersCompensation - Paid weekly. $26.00 per hour + overtime
Responsibilities:-Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck.-Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.-Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.
Job Qualifications:-At least 23 years of age-CDL Class A license required-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years-3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents-Reliable and customer oriented-Safety oriented-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.-The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
