Automotive Engineering Supervisor
This manufacturing company located in Sunnyvale, California which is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of premium light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates is seeking an Automotive Engineering Supervisor for a full-time, direct role. The company is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks. The company designs and manufactures advanced diesel engines and also provides customized financial services, information technology and truck parts related to its principal business.
The selected candidate will lead an Engineering team to define, prototype and evaluate cutting edge technologies for inclusion into company product roadmaps. Travel to company divisions and support Global Engineering Initiatives including but not limited to Vehicle Electrification, Connectivity, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Development. Support and evaluate Tier 1 automotive technology in key areas for ADAS, Electrification and Connectivity. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering other relevant fields. Master’s Degree desired. Over 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering. Managerial leadership experience preferred. Technical experience in: Automotive product development and or R&D, preferably commercial vehicle.
Enabling technologies for AD/ADAS, Electrification and Connectivity including machine learning, computer vision, data mining, real-time mapping, battery technology, e-motors, high voltage power electronics, and cloud computing. Travel required.
