The position of Operating Room Nurse is available to an experienced nurse seeking patient care responsibilities that do not require weekend on-call responsibilities. We specialize in both cosmetic and reconstructive Plastic Surgery catering to the most discriminating clients. The facility is accredited by AAAASF.
The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and administering the daily activities of the accredited facility. The facility is focused on the individual patient, one case at a time. With one highly specialized team and only one operating room, care becomes truly personal and private, not institutional.
The Nurse will be responsible for creating an environment of patient focused care, defining and maintaining standards for quality patient care, managing and developing a work based team, training new staff and providing leadership.
Specific responsibilities include:
Ensure high quality consistent nursing care to our discriminating Plastic Surgery Patients
Prepare facility and all supplies and staff for the daily surgical schedule
Ensure and maintain an adequate supply inventory for the safe and effective delivery of surgical services
Assist the surgeon and anesthesiologist in providing the highest quality of care
Ensure the facility maintains licensure and accreditation through timely submission of required data and Quality Assurance and Patient Safety meetings.
Maintain a healthy, collaborative team environment
Manage and maintain low cost of expenses related to both fixed and variable expenses, working to negotiate contracts for less expensive supplies and reducing waste

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years nursing experience, OR experience preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
California Registered Nursing License
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
