Established and successful Colorado based engineering firm with multiple locations is seeking a full-time Controller/Accountant to be an integral component of our Management Team (Boulder office).
Requirements:
⢠Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA is a plus).
⢠Minimum of 5 years in a Controller/Finance/Senior Accounting role. (Construction industry experience is a plus).
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
⢠Excellent verbal and written communication skill with internal and external clients.
⢠Motivated, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize, professional, self-directed, team leadership.
Responsibilities and/or duties include, but are not limited to:
⢠Managing all Accounting, Human Resources and Administrative Staff, with hands-on experience in all of these areas.
⢠Project Management/Accounting software administrator.
⢠Preparation of Financial Statements and general accounting functions.
⢠Tax planning knowledge and coordination with our income tax preparer.
⢠Project invoicing (including AIA Pay Applications, Lien Waivers, 3rd Party Systems).
⢠3rd party contractual review/recommendations (clients and subconsultants).
⢠Business insurance oversight including certificates of insurance for/from 3rd parties.
⢠Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and collections.
⢠Cash management and bank reconciliations.
⢠Maintain accounting and internal controls.
⢠Payroll.
⢠HR benefits and compliance (health insurance, 401k)
