Description

Solid Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced technician to join our talented team of engineers and scientists working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative and innovative team environment.

The preferred candidate will have hands-on experience in the fields of electrochemistry, ceramics processing, wet chemistry, cell manufacturing or semiconductor processing.

Job Duties

Synthesis and processing of inorganic materials using a variety of solution-based and solid-state techniques

Preparation of electrode and electrolyte composite mixtures

Fabrication of lithium battery components and cells in¨glovebox and dry room environments

Assembly, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment

Working as part of a team of scientists/engineers/technicians under direct ¨supervision of senior scientists/engineers to contribute toward the development of new processing and test methods and improved general practices

Communication of results of work through effective data collection, documentation, and presentation of results to supervisors

Qualifications/Requirements

3+ years of experience in a lab or manufacturing environment

Knowledge of industry safety and reliability standards

Structured problem-solving and analytical skills

Rapid learner and self-motivated who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment

Excellent communication and organizational skills

The candidate must be responsible and self-motivated, with a history of stable employment and performance

The candidate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency required
