Olsson is looking for a motivated Project Engineer - Bridge to join our bridge and roadway team in Colorado Springs.  Our bridge group works on a wide range of projects including bridge and retaining walls, dams, storm and traffic structures, inspections, rehabilitations, load ratings, and assisting with construction engineering services.  We facilitate designs on transportation projects that include grade separations, interchanges, and stream crossings for public and private clients throughout Colorado. You will be able to collaborate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, and stormwater engineers on projects that make a positive impact in our community while simultaneously offering you the ability to grow and pick up a wide array of skills.Your responsibilities will include:Performs detailed engineering tasks such as structural analysis, project design, cost estimates, and design calculations utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.Prepares project documents and adheres to project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment with project objectives.Independently performs complex assignments that require development of new and improved techniques and procedures.Works closely with project managers on execution of design work, reports overall progress, and informs project managers of any potential challenges to ensure project goals and objectives are met.Assists with project scope of work and schedule or portions of them and may attend client meetings.May supervise, coordinate, and review work for less experienced staff members.Maintains project and client information in the firm’s project management system.May travel and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions at project sites in various stages of construction.
