Job DescriptionEssential to the speed and quality of software engineering at Intel, the Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer designs, develops and maintains developer tools and continuous integration and delivery capabilities using modern tools, languages, and techniques such as CaaS, SaaS, IaaS, Cloud, and Hybrid infrastructure, Python, Go, Ansible.At Intel, we are taking a software-first, software-driven approach, leading with best-in-class practices. As a part of the Infrastructure and DevOps team, you will provide vital services to thousands of software engineers using your software and systems on a daily basis.This role is part of the Software to Execution (S2E) team's charter to accelerate Intel's software transformation across execution, culture, methods, practices, and tools. We are driving this through the adoption and governance of Software Transformation, leading SATG's Program Management Office, building back the leadership of Open ecosystem initiatives at Intel, creating the infrastructure to enable, and track these goals, building a software and ecosystem sustainability initiative, Intel Flex, as well as stewardship of cross-Intel initiatives via the Software Transformation Office.We are looking for a professional with a focus on software engineering and security to join our team, working on the development and maintenance of the DevOps Infrastructure used in Intel's Software and Advanced Technology Group.This role will develop and maintain developer tools and build infrastructure including build automation, continuous integration environment, code quality and security tools.The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who enjoys technology, automation, and problem-solving; someone with strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to take initiative and achieve business results.Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Configuration and optimization of the toolchain used in the Modem build system and continuous integration

Debugging and enhancing complex developer and build tools

Debugging the build system and continuously improving build performance through metric analysis

Maintenance of existing build automation and ensuring software quality and legal compliance

Collaborate with internal IT teams and SW engineering teams

Giving technical presentations to groups on a regular basis

Explaining highly technical frameworks and networking configurations to technical audiences

Summarizing information and giving presentations to management

QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum QualificationsThe candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of experience -OR - a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience in:

4 or more years working with at least three of the following programming languages: Python, Go, Bash, C, JavaScript, SQL

4 or more years working with at least three of the following frameworks: Ansible, Terraform, Nginx, Flask, Angular, REST APIs, GraphQL, Synk, Coverity

4 or more years working with Git/using GitHub

Preferred qualifications:

Experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, Bicep, or TeamCity for large development organizations

Experience configuring and managing largescale deployments with public cloud platforms like Azure and/or AWS

Experience with Express Route, Docker, K8

This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
