Job Title: Tableau Developer

Job Description:
Client is looking for a Senior Tableau Developer to work within the Data and Analytics team. This position will be a key team member assisting the Tableau Architect establish and maintain standards and guidelines for Tableau development, security framework, and code deployment. This resource will also be expected to assist other developers who are located both onshore and offshore. The Tableau developer position is ideal for someone who is detailed oriented, a multi-tasker, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Tableau Server maintenance (Linux Server, TSM) Establish repeatable process and documentation to support :
o Start/Stop services
o Troubleshooting
o Gather log files
o Export SQL queries
o Write scripts for automating Tableau tasks (tsm and tabcmd) using basic shell or python scripting
Tableau Security Maintenance
o Establish and maintain security documentation
o Request updates to Active Directory group and user assignments
o Sync user assignments in Tableau Server
o Establish security model which integrates with Denodo security model
o Assist in creating a security audit process which validates active Tableau licenses vs user's account status
Tableau Code Reviews Assist in establishing and operationalizing a workflow to:
o Maintain standards documentation
o Technical standards
o Visual Standards and Templates
Tableau Code Migration
o Export and import Tableau Metadata
o Work with Prologis DevOps to automate the code migration process
o Update Data source connection information
Tableau Development
o Help development teams with specific technical problems
o Performance Tuning
o Best-practice remediation
o Feature Testing
Denodo Data Model Reviews for Tableau use-cases
o Read/write SQL
o Data Virtualization experience preferred
o Experience with Tableau live connections
o Experience with optimizing pushdown for data processing to database/Denodo
