Currently accepting applications for full-time Furniture Finisher Specialist to join our team.
As a Furniture Finisher Specialist, you will be responsible for applying finishes to furniture pieces to enhance their appearance and durability. This includes sanding, staining, painting, and sealing furniture according to specifications and design requirements.
Responsibilities
-prepare furniture surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling cracks, and repairing imperfections
-apply stains, paints, varnishes and other finishes to furniture using spray guns, brushes, or rollers
-ensure uniformity and quality of finishes by carefully following design specifications
-inspect finished furniture pieces for defects and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs
-maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols
Requirements
-proficiency in various finishing techniques, including staining, painting, and sealing
-strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
-knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
-ability to work independently and as part of a team
-excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
-certification or training in furniture finishing or related field
-experience with specialty finishes such as distressing or antiquing
-familiarity with woodworking tools and equipment
-creative flair and ability to contribute to design concepts
-physical demand including standing, bending, lifting
-some heavy lifting 50-75 lb.
