Right now we're mostly looking for someone with strong ornamental experience more than structural experience but structural experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications

- Fabricate and weld metal components according to project specifications

- Use hand tools and operate machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts

- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards

- Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work tasks

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role

- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting welding specifications

- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)

- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for layout and fabrication purposes

- Ability to operate lifting equipment is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Do you love what you do but hate where you do it? We are a small welding and fabrication shop that is looking for a reliable long term addition to the team. We build everything that involves metal from structural/architectural steel, ornamental metalwork, cnc cutting and CAD drawing, food grade sanitary stainless, and other non-ferrous general welding and fabrication. Our shop is located in Arvada around 60th and Sheridan, but we consistently work on jobsites in the mountains in Evergreen, and Conifer, and as far south as Colorado Springs so while you will not always be responsible for traveling to the jobsites reliable transportation is necessary for when you have to.

This position will involve precisely fabricating parts/components based on drawings so understanding of a tape measure and basic math is necessary as well as the ability to precisely operate tools like angle grinders, drills, bandsaws, and squares. Welding and fabrication experience is necessary for this position. General or advanced mechanical knowledge may also be rewarded with a higher starting pay rate. Beginning pay rate is $25/hr for a 90 day probationary period. If you show me within that period that you can efficiently build parts and assemblies off of a print you will immediately be given a raise at the completion of the probationary period. $.50/hr raises are awarded every six months with adequate assessment, as well as annual holiday bonuses. We normally work 10 hour days from 7-5 and guarantee 40 hours per week but up to 50 hours of work available for most weeks. Scheduling is flexible based on your life needs with advanced notice.
