Fort Collins Truss is now hiring hard working individuals. We are a Truss manufacturing company that specialize in custom home trusses as well as pole barn and storage shed trusses. We have a couple of positions that we are looking to fill and there is always room for promotions! Workers MUST be able to work Monday through Friday every week with occasional Saturday half day. 40+ hours a week! Basic hand tools knowledge is recommended. Ability to swing a hammer and read a tape measure is preferred. The ability to stand on feet all day is required. We lift a lot of wood and metal plates, must be able to lift 20 to 50 lbs. consistently. Reliable transportation is a must!
Positions we are looking to fill-
Truss Builder - the Truss Builder is responsible for assembling trusses following a build sheet/lasers, using a staple-gun and tape measure for building a correct truss. Hammer plates to truss in the correct position then press and eject the truss from the table. Direct floor people with instructions and be able to communicate with other builders. Prior experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Pay starts at $14.00-$16.50 DOE
Truss Assembler/ Floor Person - the Truss Assembler/ Floor person is responsible for loading lumber onto table in the correct positions using their build sheet/lasers. Must be able to listen and follow directions from Truss Builder. Hammer plates onto truss in a timely and correct manner. Move full and empty carts to and from the saw area. Pay starts at $14.00 - $15.00 DOE
Truss Stacker- the Truss Stacker is responsible for taking the trusses off the rollers and making stacks according to the job. This position is an outside position and this person is in the elements! Must be prepared for any weather that may come. This person is also quality control, they need to make sure the truss being loaded onto stack is correct. Attention to detail is a BIG plus! The stacker also helps load the trusses onto semi trucks to be delivered to the job site. Forklift experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Truss Stacker is a very fast paced job and is an extremely important position. Must be highly motivated and be able to accomplish task without being supervised. Pay starts at $15.00 - $17.00 DOE
