Description
Avanti Vail, a high volume food collective with multiples bars, is looking for opening bartenders that have a positive attitude and a desire to provide excellent customer service. You will be in charge of taking customer orders, mixing a variety of traditional and creative craft cocktails, making beer and wine recommendations, and keeping the bar area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a guest-first attitude. Responsibilities
Uphold Avanti standards in regards to recipes, garnishes, pours, cleanliness, stocking, batching, organization of storage areas, and fridges
Assist in educating and inspiring the cocktail servers by coaching and assisting with overall beverage knowledge.
Assist with the implementation of proper training programs and execution for barback team
Uphold Avanti service standards and maintain composure as a good brand ambassador for Avanti
Assist management in handling guest questions, comments, and complaints where appropriate
Maintain open and honest communication with the leadership team about all issues or potential issues with staff, bar maintenance, or service protocols
Provide feedback on staff levels to management to ensure the most efficient services based on days of the week and potential events or weather
Assist potential bartender candidates by being present during a stage & training
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, liquor, mixed drinks, and more
Qualifications
Prior bar industry experience is highly desired, preferably a high-volume location
Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
Possesses strong, organizational, and time management skills
Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
All hourly employees will be granted a ski locker and an opportunity to purchase an employee ski pass at a discounted rate
Compensation
$11.40/hour + tips (Guaranteed match of at least $23.50/hour for all shifts)
