Accounting Senior Supervisor - Hybrid

Responsibilities:

Leads Accounting/Financial Reporting team with full technical responsibility for team output

Organizes and oversees the day to day clerical processes and activities of a team of accounting professionals

Manages general accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results

Monitors daily staff performance, methods and procedures development, and for contributions to improved operational efficiency.

Sets priorities and resolves escalated matters

Focuses on ensuring short-term outputs and the effectiveness of team integration with other work areas

Provides input into workforce planning and recruitment activities

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred

5+ years’ experience in a health care service, value based care or financial analytics for healthcare claims and authorization data

Understands Value Based Care contracts and relationships and able to understand and interpret data and communicate results to providers

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including the ability to use advanced formulas and functions, pivot tables, graphs/charts, conditional formatting, etc

Ability to work independently, collaborate across the organization and be accountable for results and willing to create and pilot new initiatives

Professional aptitude to solve problems, answer questions and apply information based on current circumstances with ability to search beyond initial results

Strong analytical skills to perform effective troubleshooting

Ability to communicate in a highly professional and effective manner

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, working independently and as part of a team in a collaborative manner

Ability to ensure efficient coordination & drive results with all relevant entities

Exceptional attention to detail and work product validation

Strong organization and time management capacity to balance multiple project priorities with limited supervision

Ability to handle confidential information on a daily basis in a professional manner

Ability to use PC software, and learn eviCore systems

Oral and written communication skills & project management skills
