Job Title: TIG WelderJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform complex welding tasks to support the assembly floor and the engineering department in product development activities. This role requires excellent hand-to-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of metals.Responsibilities
Perform complex welding tasks to support assembly and engineering departments.
Detect and report questionable conditions or defective materials to the supervisor.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following prescribed safety regulations.
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Be completely familiar with the welding machine and capable of making all set-ups on production and prototype parts.
Use TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) to weld a wide variety of metals such as stainless steel, Inconel, Titanium, and Aluminum.
Fuse, weld, and add wire to produce sound weld joints on very thin wall components and small diameter wire.
Assist or train other welders as needed.
Perform other manufacturing or assembly support tasks as required.
Work on parts that belong to the FAA Part 145 Repair Station and meet requirements for the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) roster.
Participate in required training.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in TIG welding.
Excellent hand-to-eye coordination and close mental and visual attention.
Experience performing welding, brazing, and/or soldering in an assembly environment.
Experience working in a highly-regulated or safety-sensitive industry such as medical, automotive, or aerospace.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be a 'US Person' as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
High school or technical school education.
At least 5 years of experience in welding, brazing, and/or soldering.
Strongly prefer prior aerospace component or small-material/small-product welding experience.
