Advanced Practitioner Role Scope The Advanced Practitioner will provide direct care to patients in the inpatient setting in collaboration with noninvasive, interventional, structural heart, electrophysiology, and heart failure physicians. Must have ability to identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleague. The Advanced Practitioner, in collaboration with a licensed physician and in accordance the Advanced Practitioners scope of practice and collaborative relationships, prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic and corrective measures. The provider should exhibit a passion for cardiology and be open to being part of a rapidly growing institute where adaptability is paramount. Job Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient\'s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Qualifications - External · Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required · Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date · Associate\'s Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred · Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is preferred. · Evidence of leadership ability. Job Summary: The Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) provides high quality nursing care to patients across all imaging modalities within the Radiology Department. The Registered Nurse (RN) applies all phases of care for invasive radiology procedures; pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure. The IR RN demonstrates competency in advanced patient assessment skills of all body systems (neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, GI, GU, skin and musculoskeletal). Functions as clinically competent in procedural sedation, administering conscious sedation and understanding the sedation recovery phase, reversal agents and airway recovery skills. Delegates and supervises work of PAA and PCA. Reports to Unit Manager. Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required) with active RN Connecticut State License. Strong Cardiac/Critical Care background, 2 years of ICU RN experience required. Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
